A facilities management company in Shah Alam is seeking a technician to manage mechanical equipment and plumbing issues. The ideal candidate should have relevant certifications and experience, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include monitoring utilities, attending to complaints, and supervising maintenance. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu is required.
To organize and carry out periodic checking of the mechanical equipment, i.e. water tank pump, sump pump, swimming pool pump, wet riser, intercom, etc. to ensure that they are in good working condition.
To monitor street and internal commons lights for outages and ensuring it is off during daytime.
To take water meter readings from common meter to ensure no leakages.
To take water meter readings for the purpose of billing to parcel owners that are not under Syabas every last working day of the month | bulb water meter reading, where applicable, and ensure this information is passed to the Strata Executive | Building Executive or Admin and Accounts Executive.
To be fully in charge of the trouble shooting of plumbing works for the common areas.
To attend to owners’/occupants’ complaints with regard to electrical and plumbing related matters that may cause issues to the common areas.
To draft incident reports on any incidents that occur on site for checking by the Building Manager | Strata Manager | Lead Staff.
To supervise and liaise with various appointed maintenance and service contractors on the maintenance of electrical, mechanical and plumbing services.
To carry out minor rectification works such as roof leaks, blockage of sewer line, painting of car parks, etc. for the common areas.
To ensure that all common fittings are in good working condition.
To ensure that fire hydrants are working.
To undertake minor repairs for replacing light fittings, tap washers, etc.
To assist the Building Manager | Building Senior Executive | Lead Staff’s roles.
To be on site whenever required at whatever time / To be on standby.
To perform other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor, Executive, company and client.
