A leading healthcare facility in Malaysia is seeking a Management role to oversee departmental goals, performance monitoring, and effective service delivery. The candidate should have at least 5 years of managerial experience in facilities maintenance and operations, particularly in the healthcare sector, along with a relevant engineering degree. A strong focus on M&E systems and statutory compliance is essential. The role offers a chance to work on impactful projects and drive departmental success.
Plan and develop departmental goals and objectives. Monitor departments’ performance e.g., budget/CAPEX, cost containment & cost‑cutting strategies, analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, etc. Develop action plans and recommend changes. Develop and review policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in accordance with company requirements and operational needs. Implement and monitor departmental activities, projects, and programs. Ensure that services are promptly delivered in the most optimal and cost‑effective manner. Coordinate necessary renovations in terms of M&E, regulated acts, and end‑user requirements with contractors and consultants to ensure projects are accomplished within scheduled timelines, quality standards, safety, and security controls. Manage the department’s budget and equipment cost‑effectively. Work closely with the procurement department on pricing and contract negotiations prior to renewal of service contracts. Adhere to and comply with all statutory requirements including Bomba, Machineries Act, OSH Act, etc. Work closely with the project team to implement strategies that ensure minimal downtime of key machinery and equipment during major renovation works or building expansion projects.
