This Position reports to: APAC Regional Digital Lead and Local Mar

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within the Building Automation Business Line, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings/Smart Power Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Developing and executing a strategy for the BA segment & delivering sales targets, which involves:
    • Strategy development & business plan development.
    • Define portfolio mix and mitigate gaps in conjunction with global / regional stakeholders.
    • Conduct customer & stakeholder management in area of scope.
    • Deliver order and revenue intake as per mutually agreed plan.
  • Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicating value proposition to customers.
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, business administration or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of relevant sales with exposure in lighting control, smart home and Building Management System.
  • Strong background and understanding of Building Automation solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Positive attitude, team player, and self‑motivated.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
