The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf – Nusajaya, Johor

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred, however not required, as training will be provided in our Barista Academy.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities

Brew Crew:

  • Be a world‑class Barista (& Tearista!) serving our amazing customers. You bring the passion, we provide the training, and you share the best specialty coffee & tea with the customer.
  • Guide customers through their coffee & tea experience from beginning to end providing exceptional customer service.
  • Serve a full range of products from our famous beverages to delicious food and beautiful merchandise.
  • Create meaningful moments – share your knowledge, our heritage, and our sustainability practices with customers.
  • Handle cash transactions honestly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Care about the safety & health of our Brew Crew and customers.
  • Take pride in the appearance of your café, maintaining a clean and organized environment, in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Cafe Supervisor:

  • Sales and Customer Service – Handle cash transactions honestly, efficiently, and accurately; assist in the supervision of the profitable café; maintain efficient service standard at all time; respond proactively to prevent and resolve customer service situations; sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.
  • Store Operations – Complete daily report as assigned; maintain acceptable amounts of coffee, baked goods and supplies for the bar; restock shelves when necessary; perform opening and closing duties; report all employee accidents to the Café Manager / Assistant Manager.
  • Employee Development – Assist in the training of new employees; motivate crews to maintain and serve consistent quality products; schedule breaks as necessary.
  • Product Knowledge – Oversee drink‑making and ensure consistent quality; strictly adhere to SOPs on all drink and gourmet items.
  • Store Presentation – Keep all tables cleared of trays, keep all floors dry & free of litter; maintain a clean, well‑merchandised café.
