Job summary

AFFIN Group in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, invites applications for a Branch Manager role. You will oversee daily branch operations, lead staff, and drive sales targets across deposits, loans, investments, and bancassurance while maintaining strong controls.

The role requires hands-on leadership, adherence to BNМ guidelines, risk and compliance coaching, audit readiness, and effective customer service. You will coordinate training, performance reviews, and CSR activities to uphold AFFIN’s standards

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee branch personnel, supervising branch operations, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operation.
• Accountable for Branch Sales turnover, to improve profitability and cost management to maximize results and achieve peak performance levels.
• Drive and achieve overall Branch Sales Target across deposits, investment, loans, bancassurance, credit cards and referrals.
• Prevention of Fraud and Losses (internal and external).
• Control costs as per budget.
• Ensure that every staff discharge duties in accordance with Branch Manual, BNМ Guidelines and internal control processes.
• Ensure satisfactory audit rating and resolve audit findings within the specified time frame.
• Monitor submission of reports within the specified time.
• Act as BCM Coordinator and perform Business Continuity Plan & Call Tree Exercise.
• Act as Business Compliance Officer (BUCO) Representative.
• Act as CLO (Complaint Liaison Officer).
• Act as Branch OSHA coordinator.
• Ensure regulatory and non-regulatory compliance by coaching.
• Ensure efficient customer service level in accordance to SLA.
• Ensure timely reply to customer and CCQ; resolve complaints within SLA.
• Resource management including annual leave, attendance, and branch meetings.
• Provide training / briefing on products and identify training needs; recruitment; staff development and coaching.
• Ensure knowledge and understanding of KPIs and JD among staff; performance and productivity tracking including appraisals.
• To manage ad-hoc assignments; alternate key holder to Vault; organize CSR activities; ensure cleanliness, safety and security of the branch.
• To participate in special projects organised by Head Office; attend training on compliance, product knowledge, customer services and personal development.

   d) Bancassurance & Banca Takaful product
   e) Credit Card
   f) Business referrals




2. Prevention of Fraud and Losses (internal and external).




3. Effectively control the cost as per budget

Process

1. Ensure that every staff discharge duties in accordance with:-
   a) Branch Manual
   b) BNM Guidelines and Other Regulatory / Statutory Requirement
   c) Internal control process & procedures.


2. Ensure satisfactory audit rating


3. Ensure audit findings are resolved within specified time frame.


4. Monitor submission of reports within the specified time

Other Responsibilities

1. To manage and undertake ad-hoc assignments


2. Alternate key holder to Vault & Self Service Terminal.


3. To organize or participate CSR activities within the branch community


4. To ensure cleanliness, safety and security of the bank's premise and SSL area


5. To perform relief duties as and when required or in the absence of ABM.

1. To involve and contribute to any special project organise by Head Office


2. Attend training on compliance, regulatory, product knowledge, customer services and other personal
   development and growth.


3. To incorporate AFFINBANK's DNA to all staff in the branch and uphold team work spirit


4. To identify any potential staff for succession planning.
