Senior Operation Technician / Boilerman (Grade 1/2)

Senior Operation Technician/Boilerman G1:

What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5 years’ experience as a technician or Senior Technician (Process & Utilities), preferably with a Boilerman Grade 1 certificate. Boilerman Grade 2 can be considered.
  • Technical diploma or relevant certification (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Boilerman Grade 1/2, Authorized Gas Tester).
  • Good knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, with strong safety and quality awareness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiar with safety rules and environmental requirements.
Job Description
  • Responsible for process and equipment operation as such furnaces / Distillation / Boiler / Utilities / Wastewater optimally (as per area of responsibility).
  • Collect water/product samples then send to laboratory and conduct chemical adjustment to meet spec results.
  • Operate Boilers, Air Compressors, Electrical/Diesel Engine Fire Water Pumps and monitor boilers/process parameters and troubleshoot boilers/process issues with minimal supervision.
  • Record field readings, review and recommend actions for smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor equipment conditions and promptly issue notification if any equipment is not functioning as expected.
  • Perform other tasks such as supporting other units/area and acting as AGT/Emergencies Respond Team.
  • Perform basic operational maintenance (e.g., pump strainer cleaning, topping up chemicals, brine solution preparation).
  • Carry out routine field inspections and report any issues found.
  • Execute Boilers/plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures according to instructions.
  • Troubleshoot boilers/operational issues and prepare equipment for maintenance.
  • Perform housekeeping to keep the plant clean.
