Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a BIM Engineer in Malaysia to coordinate BIM models across disciplines with a focus on MEP services. You will manage clash detection using Navisworks and lead coordination reviews with consultants, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include ensuring outputs comply with project BIM standards, BEP, and collaborating closely with design engineers, site teams, and stakeholders to resolve design and constructability issues. Proficiency in Revit is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with BIM focus is preferred.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 2 years design experience in Electrical Engineering with BIM.
• Hands-on experience using Revit for MEP modelling.
• Knowledge of Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
• Familiarity with BIM standards and BEP.

What will you do?

As a BIM Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting project teams by coordinating, managing and delivering BIM models in line with project and Aurecon standards.

• Coordinating BIM models across disciplines, with a focus on MEP services
• Performing clash detection using Navisworks and leading coordination and resolution reviews
• Facilitating and attending BIM and coordination meetings with consultants, clients and internal project teams
• Ensuring models and outputs comply with project BIM standards, workflows and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
• Working closely with design engineers, site teams and stakeholders to resolve design and constructability issues
• Designing and modelling Mechanical or Electrical services using Revit
• Producing accurate and coordinated drawings and BIM outputs for MEP services using Revit
• Supporting continuous improvement of BIM processes and best practices across projects

you will also need the following:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Minimum 2 years of design experience in Electrical Engineering with a strong BIM focus
• Hands‑on experience using Revit for MEP modelling and documentation
• Working knowledge of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks for coordination and clash detection
• Experience delivering building projects (e.g. commercial, residential, mixed‑use, healthcare, or similar)
• Good understanding of BIM standards, workflows and coordination processes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
