Job description

1. Job Summary

The BIM Drafter (M&E) is responsible for preparing accurate 2D/3D M&E drawings, BIM models, and coordination layouts for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and other building services. This role supports the BIM Engineer/Coordinator and project team to ensure all drawings meet client standards, authority requirements, and project timelines.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update 2D/3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software.
• Prepare M&E shop drawings, coordinated services layouts, schematics, and detail drawings.
• Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and naming conventions.
• Produce clash‑free coordinated models with proper elevation, alignment, and routing.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings (internal & external) with consultants, contractors, and site team.
• Assist in clash detection using Navisworks and update models accordingly.
• Maintain revision records, drawing registers, and version control.
• Generate BIM deliverables such as drawings, schedules, quantities, and as‑built models.
• Support the M&E team in technical submissions, design reviews, and drawing clarifications.
• Assist BIM Coordinator/Engineer in implementing BIM workflow and project standards.
• Solve modelling issues and ensure accurate representation of all M&E elements.
• Coordinate closely with site engineers to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
• Update as‑built drawings based on red‑line drawings and site changes.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings according to project schedule.

3. Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, BIM, Drafting, or related field.
• Formal training in Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM tools is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in M&E drafting or BIM modelling (Fresh graduates with strong Revit skills may be considered).
• Experience in data center, industrial, or high‑rise M&E projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks (Manage/Simulate).
• Understanding of M&E systems – HVAC, Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, Fire Protection.
• Familiar with BIM standards (LOD, BEP, CDE workflows, naming conventions).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
