Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an HVAC Engineer to design, maintain, and improve the company’s building systems within a battery cell manufacturing plant. You will oversee projects, manage vendors and budgets, and ensure safe, compliant facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 3+ years in facility operations, and familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and FMCS software. Battery plant experience is preferred and electrical exposure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in facility operation, maintenance, or project improvement.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and FMCS software.
• Bright personality with strong ability to work under pressure and self-motivated.
• Experience in a lithium battery manufacturing plant is preferred.
• Exposure to electrical systems or an electrical engineering background is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, and plumbing).
• Manage facility upgrades, renovations, and new installations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations and building codes.
• Coordinate external vendors and contractors for maintenance and project activities.
• Develop and manage budgets to support facility operations.
• Monitor facility performance and prepare reports on operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and technology integration.
