ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lead Python Engineer, you’ll drive high-impact data analysis that shapes product decisions and elevates the performance of internal tools. You’ll steer complex investigations across large datasets, influence feature direction through rapid prototyping, and partner closely with stakeholders to build scalable, insightful solutions. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design and implement Rudderstack transformations to optimize data flow from high-volume email platforms; analyze data sources from internal tools;
• Perform data consistency analysis;
• Prototype enhancements and new features in Jupyter Notebooks;
• Analyze the impact of building and testing those requirements.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of experience in software development;
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience;
• Significant practical experience with Python (ideally 4+ years);
• Knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP;
• Knowledge and practical experience with API REST;
• Knowledge and practical experience with databases: MySQL, Postgres, GBQ, Snowflake;
• Knowledge and practical experience with Jupyter Notebook;
• Knowledge and practical experience with ETL development;
• Knowledge and practical experience with unit testing development;
• Team management and direct client interaction experience;
• Excellent analytical and time management skills;
• Upper-Intermediate English.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with Apache Spark;
• Experience with microservices.
