Job summary

Applify Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Backend Developer adept in Node.js and PHP Laravel to build scalable mobile and web applications. The role requires hands-on development, testing, and API design with emphasis on performance and reliability.

You will contribute across the SDLC, mentor juniors, and engage in continuous learning to stay current with Node.js and Laravel ecosystems. This is an in-person, full-time position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate or diploma or degree in CS/IT.
• At least 3 years of Node.js or PHP Laravel backend experience.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable Node.js/PHP Laravel backends.
• Lead and mentor junior developers.
• Contribute to SDLC using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build, test, and maintain scalable mobile and web applications using Node.js or the PHP Laravel framework.
• Technical Leadership: Provide high-level guidance and professional mentorship to junior backend developers.
• Full-Cycle Participation: Actively contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall and Agile methodologies through cross-departmental collaboration.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Credentials: Minimum of a Professional Certificate, Diploma (Advanced/Higher/Graduate), or a Bachelor’s/Post-Graduate/Professional Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field.
• Work History: At least 3 years of verified experience in a relevant capacity as a Node.js or PHP Laravel Backend Developer.
• Linguistic Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
• Technical Expertise: Significant proficiency in Node.js, PHP Laravel, or a combination of both frameworks.
• Core Competencies: Advanced skills in the structural design, implementation, testing, and complex troubleshooting of applications.
