Job summary

A software and IT solutions company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled developer to design and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using Laravel. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using Laravel.
• Implement RESTful APIs.
• Integrate third-party APIs and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and mobile teams to define and ship new features.
• Perform code reviews and enforce best practices.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or others).
• Monitor application performance and infrastructure health.
• Manage and provision cloud infrastructure (preferably on Azure or AWS).
• Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Docker Compose or Kubernetes.
• Perform routine backups, manage secrets, and enforce security standards.
• Maintain staging and production environments.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Laravel (and general knowledge of vanilla PHP).
• Experience in RESTful API design and database modelling.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with NGINX, Postman, and Git.
