A leading financial institution seeks an experienced AVP for Storage & Flexi Infra Administration in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will administer various storage types and manage cloud resources. Responsibilities include optimizing storage performance, ensuring data security, and providing technical support. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in storage administration, familiarity with cloud platforms, and a strong technical background. This role is pivotal for managing storage environments effectively.
Administer and maintain Block, File, and Object storage.
Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and health.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform capacity planning.
Provision and allocate storage for servers, applications, and databases.
Ensure encryption at rest and in transit for critical data.
Implement and manage storage replication for disaster recovery.
Manage cloud-based resources such as AWS (EC2, S3), Azure (VMs, Blob), or Google Cloud.
Support hybrid cloud setups and assist with cloud migrations.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for infrastructure designs, change logs, configurations, and recovery procedures.
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Work with vendors for hardware/software support, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Coordinate with internal IT, application, and DevOps teams for resource planning and incident handling.
Set up and maintain storage and infrastructure for dev/test environments.
Support QA/testing teams with cloning, snapshots, and data provisioning.
Strong stakeholder management skills in handling wide-ranging and senior stakeholders across segments/product areas
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalates, mitigate and resolve risk,
Be the Gatekeeper of the technical solution delivery ensuring best practices, ensure the governance of the process is followed.
Configure and provide technical support and incident response for IT security infrastructure components.
Ensure incidents are worked within the agreed SLA.
Adhere to incident management process and drive incident resolution with minimal supervision.
Escalate high-priority chases to Incident managers.
Create change record, draft change implementation steps & implement the changes (Break/fix & non-break/fix).
Work with other support towers to identify the root cause and perform technical root cause analysis for incidents.
Co-ordinate or lead permanent solutions /improvements identified during RCA.
