Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is hiring a Mortgage Sales professional in Penang to provide comprehensive mortgage solutions and exceptional service. You will guide clients through the entire loan process, assess eligibility, prepare proposals, and liaise with internal teams to ensure timely approvals.

With 2–3 years in mortgage sales, you will stay current on market trends, build client relationships, and meet sales targets within a fast-paced banking environment in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years in mortgage sales or similar financial services role.
• Knowledge of Malaysian mortgage products, lending criteria and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mortgage products based on needs and eligibility.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing comprehensive mortgage solutions and exceptional customer service to clients, facilitating the entire loan application process, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Advise clients on suitable mortgage products, including home loans, refinancing, and other property-related financing options, based on their financial needs and eligibility.
• Guide clients through the mortgage application process, including documentation submission, credit assessment, and property valuation.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis of applicants to assess their repayment capacity and risk profile.
• Prepare and present loan proposals to clients, clearly explaining terms, conditions, and repayment schedules.
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., credit, legal, operations) and external parties (e.g., valuers, lawyers) to ensure smooth processing and timely approval of mortgage applications.
• Stay updated on market trends, interest rates, and regulatory changes affecting the mortgage industry.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek new business opportunities through various channels.
• Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and relevant banking laws and regulations.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall team’s objectives.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire mortgage journey, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage sales or a similar financial services role, preferably within a banking environment.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, lending criteria, and relevant regulatory frameworks in Malaysia.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit assessment principles, and property market dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possession of relevant professional certifications (e.g., PCE, CUTE) is an advantage.
• Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
