Job summary

Beex Pte. Ltd. in Malaysia seeks an Operations Technician to operate our HAUVs for inspecting underwater infrastructure, bringing greater robotic intelligence to the process.

You will work closely with the Operations Lead, travel to nearshore and offshore sites, participate in sea trials, and support engineering with integration, testing, and logistics. This role requires practical hands-on skills and a technical certificate.

Qualifications

• Active learner with interest in autonomous intelligent machines.
• Hands-on experiences in technical settings.
• Technical certificate of competence (SKM/TVET/Diploma) and related training.
• Driver’s license is a plus.
• Skipper/Steersman/Helmsman license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate HAUVs for inspection of underwater infrastructure, advancing robotic intelligence beyond manual piloting.
• Operate the system as a HAUV, not just a ROV.
• Assist Engineering with development of concepts for Autonomous Operations.
• Prepare field equipment before and after deployments.
• Assist Engineering with on-site and off-site issue investigations and tickets.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical integration and assembly of parts.
• Assist with rigorous testing (pressure, vibration, EMC-EMI, thermal, corrosion).
• Assist with logistics and updating administrative documents; parts collection/delivery.
