Job summary

Motormaniac Sdn Bhd in Puchong is seeking a hands-on Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair vehicles on-site, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

The role covers routine servicing, part replacement and major repairs, with accurate diagnostics using scan tools. You will follow SOPs and 5S practices and communicate clearly with Service Advisors.

A minimum SKM in Automotive and at least 1 year of hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum SKM in Automotive or related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an automotive technician.
• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Ability to perform both minor and major automotive repairs.
• Knowledge of workshop tools, equipment care, and 5S practices.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Action-oriented, fast learner, and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Strong integrity, work ethics, and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics using scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct full vehicle inspections across all systems and components.
• Carry out routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and general maintenance.
• Repair and replace vehicle parts, including major works such as top and full engine overhauls.
• Communicate inspection results and repair updates clearly to Service Advisors.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and organization of workshop tools and equipment.
• Follow SOPs, safety regulations, and 5S practices (cleanliness, organization, waste management).
• Record all repair and service details in the system (such as , WEBMAX) accurately.
• Support continuous improvement in technical skills, processes, and workshop efficiency.
