Job summary

Transcontinental R&D (M) Sdn Bhd invites applications for a junior mechanic position at our TORQ Service Centre in Butterworth. No commercial vehicle experience required—we provide training and focus on attitude and growth from day one.

You will assist senior mechanics, perform basic services, and document work using GarageBox. Clear progression from Junior to Senior is based on performance, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year workshop experience or fresh graduate from vocational school / polytechnic automotive programme.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including servicing, brakes, filters.
• Willing to learn and follow SOPs without being told twice.
• Able to read and write in Malay or English.
• Willing to work in Mak Mandin, Butterworth.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics in servicing, repairs and maintenance of commercial vehicles.
• Carry out basic services independently — oil changes, filters, brakes, tyres.
• Complete job cards accurately via GarageBox, our digital workshop system.
• Keep your bay clean and tools accounted for.
• Learn actively — structured mentorship from senior mechanics.

About the Role

TORQ Service Centre is a newly established professional workshop in Butterworth specialising in commercial vehicle maintenance for corporate clients. We are looking for junior mechanics who are serious about building a real career — not just collecting a salary.

You do not need commercial vehicle experience. We will train you. What we cannot train is attitude.

What You Will Do

Assist senior mechanics in servicing, repairs and maintenance of commercial vehicles

Carry out basic services independently — oil changes, filters, brakes, tyres

Complete job cards accurately via GarageBox, our digital workshop system

Keep your bay clean and tools accounted for

Learn actively — TORQ runs structured mentorship from senior mechanics

What We Offer

Basic salary RM1,700 – RM1,800 + RM100 transport allowance

Take-home potential RM2,000 – RM2,500 with commission

10% labour commission on every completed job card — logged in GarageBox, paid monthly

Quality Assurance bonus every 3 months for zero comeback jobs
