Role description

As a Software Automation Tester, you will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and advocating for the quality and performance of GeoSoftware applications. You will contribute to the automation testing strategy, develop and execute automated test cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets quality and usability standards. Your role will involve identifying opportunities for automation, maintaining and enhancing existing test frameworks, and ensuring continuous integration pipelines are robust and reliable. You will play a key part in driving quality improvements, reducing manual testing efforts, and accelerating release cycles.

Main tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

1. Testing & Quality Assurance
   • Contribute to automation test documentation (strategy, plans, cases)
   • Design, author, and execute automated functional test cases
   • Identify, document, and verify defects
   • Create and manage test data for automation
   • Analyze and communicate incomplete requirements
   • Automate manual test cases within a framework
   • Provide test estimates and review test artifacts
   • Work within Agile/Scrum cycles
   • Follow and evolve automation testing standards
2. Leadership & Communication
   • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Software Engineers, and Product Managers
   • Communicate suggestions to improve automation processes
   • Advocate for customer needs and product quality
   • Present automation execution reports and updates
3. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
   • Understand complex technical areas
   • Prioritize tasks with competing demands
   • Act as a knowledge point for automation investigations

Technical Skills

• Experience with coding in any language
