About the job Automation Engineer - Malaysia

Main Tasks

• To lead machine electrical panel design & automation works from Start till the End of engineering process.
• To prepare machine startup & testing planning to suite machine FAT plan.
• To carry out electrical circuit detail design and able to justify the design with calculation and other design basic.
• To select and size appropriate electrical components to suite project requirement with engineering calculation and supporting document.
• To review and ensure Electrical BOMs are accurate and updated all the time.
• To prepare machine program, control system, safety program and HMI program as per project requirement.
• To startup machine, program testing, troubleshooting and fine tuning in production floor as per planning.
• To support machine installation and commissioning at site as when required.
• To update and compile electrical diagrams & information into PLM after FAT.
• To prepare machine site installation guide for any leftover electrical & automation works after FAT.
• To initiate and prepare standard operating procedures and work instructions for electrical circuit designs and machine control system.
• To provide technical support to Production department on engineering issues and to troubleshoot customer issues with Services.
• To create, enhance and maintain a pool of electrical design database and standard program database that could be used as when required for other projects.
• To participate in process improvement activities that promotes business excellence through cross functional activities, in collaboration with other departments.
• To carry out any other duties that maybe assigned to you by the management from time to time.

Information Technology

• Standard office hardware and software.
• Highly computer literate and must be proficient in using ePLAN P8, Isagraf, Automation Studio, SafeDesigner B&R, and Visiwin.
• Good understanding of PLM on daily works.

Competences & Qualifications

• Must be highly experienced in developing machine electrical panel and control system (Mechatronic) from conceptual ideas until full completion of machine with full aid of engineering calculations.
• Has a bachelors degree in Electricals & Electronics Engineering or any related qualification with at least 10 years working experience in original equipment manufacturing or maintenance.
• Has good knowledge of electrical circuit design, design standards, techniques, procedures, simulation and standard components selection.
• Has good command of written & spoken English.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and understand electrical diagram and process flow chart.
• Knowledge of PLC programming such as ladder diagram, function block and etc.
• Self-motivated, creative and pro-active with good teamwork spirit.
