Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, and inspection in the B&PV Industry or related industry.
  • Experience in NDE Level II or above is desired.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards and other international codes & standards required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inspection service for compliance with codes and specifications.
  • Monitor Quality Control Program of Fabricator, Installer, or Repairer.
  • Review and approve/reject procedures and qualifications for welding and NDE.
  • Generate weekly reports concerning expenses and production progress.

Your Role

Provides inspection service for client at shop and or sites to assure compliance with internal Code Services Manual, ASME Code, National Board Inspection Code and special customer specifications.

With minimal supervision, exercises independent judgment in assuring code compliance or compliance with customer specifications, in all instances.

COMPLIANCE WITH ASME CODE & NATIONAL BOARD INSPECTION CODE – 100%

Accepts or rejects wholly or in part the material, workmanship and procedures involved in construction or repairs of boilers and pressure vessels to assure compliance with requirements of applicable sections of the ASME Code, NBIC or designated specifications.

  • Monitors Fabricator, Installer, or Repairer’s Quality Control Program to determine adherence to that system and in turn to ASME or NBIC requirements.
  • Reviews and approves/rejects procedures and personnel qualifications for welding and nondestructive examination.
  • Verifies through a review of documentation, witnessing of inspections and tests, and certification that items inspected comply with ASME Code or NBIC requirements
  • Reviews and approves/rejects specifications, calculations, and drawings for each item inspected to assure Code compliance.
  • Maintains bound diary of inspection activities in order to document inspections performed and to show status of items, for use as necessary by replacement inspectors, and to National Board.
  • Interfaces with client’s personnel in a professional manner to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Generates weekly reports to apprise the company of expenses, hours worked and production progress in accordance with written instructions and policies.
  • Approves revision to Fabricator, Installer or Repairer’s Quality Control manual and participates in ASME, National Board, or Jurisdictional Joint Reviews.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, quality assurance and inspection background in B&PV Industry or related industry. Experience in NDE Level II or above is desired.
  • Experience with ASME codes & standards and other international codes & standards. Working experience in ASME Code B&PV scope as design, QA/QC, qualified NDE Level II or above is desired.
  • Willingness to take responsibility, open mindset, good communication skill in English, sales & marketing skill, and MS Office skill
