Qualifications

• Qualified or partly qualified in professional accounting bodies if further studies undertaken.
• Must have completed appropriate accounting degree.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and audit software.

Responsibilities

• Manage audits of small and medium-sized companies assigned by the audit manager.
• Liaise with audit manager, managing partner, and clients for reporting on audit status.
• Document and compile audit work papers and obtain sufficient evidence for sign-off.
• Manage and coach junior audit staff and review their work.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

To manage audits of small and medium sized companies of various industries assigned by audit manager.

To liaise with audit manager, managing partner and client as and when necessary to report on audit work status, progress, critical issues and communicate important clients’ matters.

To document and compile audit work papers and obtain sufficient audit evidence to support engagement partner's sign-off of the client's financial statements.

To manage and coach junior audit staff members on engagement teams and review their work.

To be able to prepare company and group financial statements which are in compliance with either Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standards or Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.

Job Requirements

Qualified or partly qualified in professional accounting bodies (MIA, ACCA, MICPA, CTIM and other relevant bodies) if further studies undertaken. If none but have interest in pursuing professional qualifications, can notify audit manager and engagement partner of your interest.

Must have completed appropriate accounting degree.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and preferably with knowledge of audit software CCH.

Must be able to communicate in English.

Must be able to work independently, review and coach junior staff members and follow up on their progress.
