Baker Tilly HYT in Johor Bahru is seeking fresh and experienced Audit Professionals for a full-time role based in our Johor Bahru office. The position involves conducting audit fieldwork, preparing working papers, and liaising with client accounting teams to ensure accurate financial records.

You will attend stock counts, contribute to audit reports, and uphold independence and high ethical standards while mentoring junior staff and meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed audit procedures and fieldwork in line with Malaysian Auditing Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit working papers and document findings and conclusions.
• Liaise with client's accounting teams to gather information and resolve queries.
• Attend stock counts as part of statutory audits.
• Contribute to audit reports and management letters with recommendations.
• Maintain independence and adhere to professional ethics and standards.
• Support the team to meet deadlines, deliver quality work, and coach juniors.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and industry best practices.

About the role

We are seeking for fresh and experienced Audit Professionals to join our dynamic audit team at Baker Tilly HYT in Johor Bahru. This is a full-time position based in our Johor Bahru office.

Key responsibilities?

• Conducting detailed audit procedures and fieldwork in accordance with Malaysian Auditing Standards and relevant regulatory requirements, by performing substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Preparing audit working papers and documentation to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Liaising with client's accounting teams to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and resolve audit queries.
• To attend physical stock count exercise, as part of statutory audit procedures.
• Contributing to the preparation of audit reports and management letters outlining findings and recommendations.
• Maintaining independence and adhering to professional ethics and auditing standards throughout all audit engagements.
• Supporting the audit team in meeting project deadlines and delivering quality work within budget constraints and couching junior members.
• Staying current with changes in accounting standards, audit regulations, and industry best practices.
