Job Description

As an Audit Associate at SY Lim & Co., you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver exceptional audit and assurance services to a diverse clientele. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the planning and execution of statutory audits of companies in varied industries in accordance to approved standards on auditing in Malaysia, MPERS and MFRS;
• Performing tests of controls, audit testing, and preparation of audit paperwork and relevant documentation in accordance with standards and requirements;
• Ensure audit assignments are properly carried out and deadlines are met;
• Liaise with audit managers, partners and clients as and when necessary to report on job progress and other critical issues;
• Undertake special assignments on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field;
• Exceptional command of both verbal and written English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage;
• A self‑driven and independent work ethic combined with unwavering integrity;
• The ability to excel under pressure, exhibiting adaptability and problem‑solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues;
• Willingness to travel for assignments as required;
• Familiarity with AMC Insight/Audit Express would be an added advantage;
