Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Audit Assistant based in Kulai, Johor. The role requires a Diploma in Accounting or Finance and offers exposure to auditing tasks under supervision.

You will use Sage UBS and Brasstax for accounting and tax work, supporting senior auditors and ensuring accuracy of financial records. Suitable for fresh graduates or junior candidates, with opportunities to grow in a structured audit environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Proficiency with Sage UBS accounting software is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Brasstax software is an advantage.
• Ability to speak and write English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements under supervision.
• Perform audit procedures including bank reconciliations, AR/AP confirmations, and inventory observations.
• Document audit findings and recommendations per standards.
• Prepare financial statements under applicable accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
• Use Sage UBS for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.

• Document audit findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS).
• Utilize Sage UBS Accounting Software for data extraction, analysis, and reporting purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of tax computations and returns using Brasstax software.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address audit-related inquiries.
• Maintain organized and well-documented work papers to support audit conclusions.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and tax laws.
