Job summary

Shin & Co in Malaysia seeks an entry-level accounting professional to assist in statutory audits for SMEs and to prepare audit working papers and statutory documentation under senior guidance. You will verify vouchers, bank balances, inventory, and general ledgers, liaise with clients for records, and draft financial statements compliant with MFRS/MPERS.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Proficiency in English is required with Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia being a bonus; Excel skills and MS Office

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field.
• Completed, partial, or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing statutory audit engagements for diverse SMEs.
• Prepare neat audit working papers and statutory documentation using ProSystem fx Engagement Audit Software under supervision.
• Verify vouchers, bank balances, inventory sheets and general ledger balances.
• Liaise with clients to gather financial records and audit evidence.
• Draft financial statements in line with MFRS and MPERS standards.
