Overview

Asst Manager / Senior Executive (Finance & Accounting)

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with audit requirements.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Ensure timely preparation and submission of SST, income tax, and other statutory returns (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, PCB, EIS).
  • Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in Malaysian tax laws and accounting standards (MPERS or MFRS, as applicable).
  • Preferred Attributes: Experience in digital transformation or finance automation.
  • Exposure to grant and government incentive applications (e.g., MDEC, SME Corp).
  • Familiar with financial KPIs and cost-saving initiatives in SME environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Professional qualification (MIA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of Accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, SST, and MPERS/MFRS.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, QuickBooks) and Excel.
