Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of accounting executives and assist senior staff.
  • Review full sets of accounts and handle complex transactions.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures.
  • Build strong client relationships and understand their needs.
  • Identify areas for improvement in accounting workflows.
  • Proactively communicate challenges and propose solutions.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc-related assignments.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coaching: Lead a team of 1-2 accounting executives, and assist the Team Lead in guiding an additional 2 senior executives. Provide coaching, promote skill development, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Accounting Oversight: Review and perform full sets of accounts, process necessary journal entries, and handle complex account transaction processing.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and other regulatory requirements, continuously expanding your technical knowledge.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Maintain and enforce SOPs, ensuring processes are streamlined, effective, and adhered to.
  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their requirements, and ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting workflows, demonstrating a willingness to unlearn and relearn processes as needed to optimize efficiency.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Proactively communicate challenges and propose solutions, displaying strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other ad hoc-related assignments, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
