A reputable accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage a team and oversee financial management. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of accounting executives and assist senior staff.
- Review full sets of accounts and handle complex transactions.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
- Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Build strong client relationships and understand their needs.
- Identify areas for improvement in accounting workflows.
- Proactively communicate challenges and propose solutions.
- Undertake any other ad hoc-related assignments.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Coaching: Lead a team of 1-2 accounting executives, and assist the Team Lead in guiding an additional 2 senior executives. Provide coaching, promote skill development, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Accounting Oversight: Review and perform full sets of accounts, process necessary journal entries, and handle complex account transaction processing.
- Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and other regulatory requirements, continuously expanding your technical knowledge.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Maintain and enforce SOPs, ensuring processes are streamlined, effective, and adhered to.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their requirements, and ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting workflows, demonstrating a willingness to unlearn and relearn processes as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Proactively communicate challenges and propose solutions, displaying strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other ad hoc-related assignments, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
