What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide strategic advice on corporate restructuring, insolvency proceedings, and rescue mechanisms, including formal and informal schemes of arrangement under Sections 176 and 366 of the Companies Act 2016.
  • Perform comprehensive financial, legal, and operational analysis to recommend optimal recovery strategies, creditor advisory, and debt management solutions.
  • Draft, review, and contribute to key legal documents such as liquidation plans, debt restructuring agreements, and judicial management proposals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders—including creditors, shareholders, regulators, and the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT)—to facilitate orderly corporate closures, asset disposals, and project revivals.
  • Conduct company valuations, support receiverships and liquidations, and identify growth opportunities to drive sustainable business competitiveness.
  • For Associates: Assist Senior Associates in research, analysis, and execution of routine tasks to build foundational expertise.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulations, industry trends, and best practices to deliver pragmatic, commercially astute services.
What We’re Looking For
Senior Associate
  • Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency, ideally from a medium/large commercial accounting/law firm or in‑house legal/finance team of a sizable organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master’s in Finance, Commerce, Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Law, or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA—partial or full) highly valued.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a pragmatic, client‑centric approach to balancing autonomy and teamwork.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to demystify complex financial and legal concepts for diverse audiences, including non‑experts.
  • Proficiency in English (and Bahasa Malaysia preferred); customer service mindset for stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in Mandarin language will be an advantage.
  • Right to work in Malaysia; commitment to ethical, high‑quality service delivery.
