Job summary

CLA Global TS Malaysia is seeking an Associate to join our Risk Advisory team. You will work directly with Directors and senior client stakeholders, leading key workstreams across diverse industries and helping shape our growing regional practice.

The role offers exposure to internal controls, risk assessments, PDPA considerations, operational audits, IPO readiness, and compliance projects. It is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to develop rapidly and travel as

Qualifications

• Recent graduates in Accountancy, Business, Risk Management, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or Political Science.
• Early career professionals (1-2 years) in operational fields such as Operations Management, Retail, Food & Beverage Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal control reviews, risk assessments, and compliance checks across various industries.
• Conduct walkthroughs and tests of business processes to assess control effectiveness.
• Assist in data analysis to uncover patterns, gaps or inconsistencies.
• Support the preparation of client-ready reports and working papers.
• Join meetings with clients to observe and contribute to risk discussions.
• Learn to think critically, ask the right questions, and develop a strong sense of professional skepticism.

What You'll Do:

As an Associate, you'll play an active role in our projects from day one:

• Participate in internal control reviews, risk assessments, and compliance checks across various industries
• Conduct walkthroughs and tests of business processes to assess control effectiveness
• Assist in data analysis to uncover patterns, gaps or inconsistencies
• Support the preparation of client-ready reports and working papers
• Join meetings with clients to observe and contribute to risk discussions
• Learn to think critically, ask the right questions, and develop a strong sense of professional skepticism

You'll also be exposed to diverse projects, both local and international, including:

• Internal Control Reviews
• Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) compliance reviews
• Operational audits
• IPO readiness and compliance assessments

Who We're Looking For:

• Recent graduates in Accountancy, Business, Risk Management, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or Political Science
• Early career professionals (1-2 years' experience) in operational fields such as Operations Management, Retail, Food & Beverage Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related disciplines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
