Job summary

TNG Digital in Malaysia is seeking a data-driven Senior Risk Analytics professional to support credit risk, fraud risk, and financial risk analytics across the Group's digital financial services ecosystem.

You will perform data-driven analysis, monitor portfolio performance, contribute to risk model development, and provide actionable insights while ensuring regulatory compliance. This VP-level focus emphasizes risk analytics, portfolio monitoring, and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative disciplines.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in risk analytics, credit risk, fraud risk, financial services analytics, digital banking, fintech, or related fields.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical programming language (Python or R).
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualisation, and reporting tools.
• Understanding of credit risk concepts, fraud risk management, and portfolio analytics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor KRIs, portfolio performance, delinquency trends, fraud losses, and exposure concentrations.
• Support periodic review of credit and fraud risk policies and procedures.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for management review.
• Assist in identifying emerging risk trends and recommend mitigation actions.
• Support regulatory compliance monitoring and risk governance initiatives.
• Conduct portfolio analysis to assess credit quality and risk performance.
• Assist in development, validation, and enhancement of credit scoring and fraud detection models.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or relevant tools.
• Monitor model performance and recalibrate as needed.
• Analyze customer transactional, behavioural, and alternative data for risk insights.
• Support automation and digitalisation of risk monitoring processes.

Role Overview:

Responsible for supporting the development, monitoring, and enhancement of credit risk, fraud risk, and financial risk analytics across the Group's digital financial services ecosystem. The role will perform data-driven analysis, monitor portfolio performance, contribute to risk model development, and provide actionable insights to support prudent business growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Based on the VP-level role's focus on risk analytics, portfolio monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), portfolio performance, delinquency trends, fraud losses, and exposure concentrations.
• Support periodic review of credit and fraud risk policies and procedures.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for management review.
• Assist in identifying emerging risk trends and recommend mitigation actions.
• Support regulatory compliance monitoring and risk governance initiatives.

Financial Risk Analytics & Modelling

• Conduct portfolio analysis to assess credit quality, customer behaviour, and risk performance.
• Assist in the development, validation, and enhancement of credit scoring and fraud detection models.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or relevant analytical tools.
• Support investigation of fraud incidents and identify patterns to improve detection capabilities.
• Monitor model performance and recommend recalibrations where necessary.
• Analyse customer transactional, behavioural, and alternative data to derive risk insights.
• Support automation and digitalisation of risk monitoring processes.
• Participate in data quality and risk data management initiatives.
• Assist in stress testing, scenario analysis, and ad hoc risk assessments.

Role Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative disciplines.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in risk analytics, credit risk, fraud risk, financial services analytics, digital banking, fintech, or related fields.
