Job summary

Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Associate I for Global Mobility Services and Business Process Services. You will assist with bookkeeping, prepare monthly management accounts, draft financial statements, and support tax and indirect tax compliance.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting and 1–2 years of accounting experience; you will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver quality service to clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or a related qualification.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; audit experience is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to perform bookkeeping and general accounting tasks.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Draft annual financial statements.
• Assist with tax accounting and related matters.
• Manage indirect tax compliance including SST and SToDS.
• Process monthly payroll.
• Support global mobility service tasks.
• Assist with business process solutions.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
