Job summary

A leading technology manufacturer in Ipoh seeks a Production Manager to support the Program Manager in coordinating production schedules and ensuring key performance indicators are met. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Production Management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently, ensuring high customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards. This role requires on-site work and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum is Diploma in Production Management or related disciplines.
  • Experience in program/business/customer management will be an added advantage.
  • 3+ years of experience in Program Management on related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager and manage production scheduling.
  • Coordinate and monitor the shift build plan with engineering and production.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Responsiveness.
  • Lead the team through start-up and ramp until production is released.
  • Engage in New Products Introduction to ensure success.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Program Manager and accountable for
  • Follow up with production on scheduling and execution
  • Coordinating and monitoring shift build plan with engineering, production etc
  • Production index (Pack out, OTD, HPU, CT, Aging, and DPPM)
  • disposition' of excess material in a timely manner after closure of Jobs.
  • Communication and working with relevant owners in mitigating any risk during execution of build
  • Able to analyze production execution health (output, Aging, Stock item consumption, WIP and JO variance) to ensure proper control & compliance

Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.

Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.

Category Management
  • 50% A Production scheduling, tactical schedule adherence, cycle time improvement and inventory management.
  • B Ensure Lean and Cost efficient programs introduced.
  • C Responsible for coordinating and monitoring swiftly production plan.
  • D Responsible for coordinating to meet the prod key performance index (Pack out, OTD, HPU, CT, Aging, and DPPM).
  • E Able to analyze production execution health (output, Aging, Stock item consumption, WIP and JO variance) to ensure proper control & compliance.
  • F Engage with R&D and internal project teams to work on transfer ensuring transfer goals in term of yields, quality, cost, and timelines are achieved.
  • G Engage in the New Products Introduction ensuring consistent and controlled practices that are goal oriented, market aware, time efficient, cost effective, quality conscious and EHS compliant.
Customer Management
  • 30% A
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in Manufacturing, Quality, IPH Cost and Customer Responsiveness.
  • B Responsible for fulfilling customer Sales Order based on backlog and manage Inventory based on forecast.
Leadership
  • 20% A
  • Establish and Lead the team through the start-up, ramp, until production released.
  • B Coordinate with cross-functional team on product development and project management (inclusive of spec, schedule, cost, and ROI).
  • C Coordinate the preparation for the weekly reviews and Phase Reviews to ensure target goals are achieved in terms of Time to Market, Time to Yield, Time to Cost & Time to Ramp ensuring readiness goals are achieved.
  • D Responsible for Dependencies Readiness (4M: Man, Material, Machine, and Method).
  • E Responsible to work on 'disposition' of excess material in a timely manner after closure of Jobs.
  • F Responsible to manage and ensure PM KPI met.
  • G Responsible for new product introduction, product/team coordination and management, ensuring transfer goals are met.
Education & Experience

Minimum is Diploma in Production Management or related disciplines

Skills
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English is must, Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.
  • Knowledge Of software Microsoft Excel, Words, Powerpoint, Access, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects.

Prior experience in program/business/customer management will be an added advantage.

Recent college graduates, or with min 3 years working experience in Program Management on related fields. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc
