Working Hours: 1PM-10PM

  • Leadership: Indirect Leadership of staff and accountability of 40 FTE across Lending Services including oversight over all BCS operational activities conducted withing the Malaysia Location in partnership with Head Office Managers
  • Talent Acquisition: Work with BCS workstream on Project Walnut related to the execution of location strategy including the understanding of the tasks and responsibilities that are capable of being transitioned offshore, and take a lead role in the recruitment and onboarding of talent within Malaysia in support thereof including conducting recruitment campaigns (where applicable) and/or in-person interviews to ensure new hires have the required technical/business knowledge, soft skills to adequately perform the role assigned. Collaborate and partner with the center management, local academia and community to build and promote BCS Lending Services presence in the region
  • Reporting & Risk Management: Establish a control framework including escalation procedures and strong awareness amongst staff to ensure that all controls, oversight, legal and/or sanctions are understood and documented which may include any region-specific nuances to ensure performance and operational issues are addressed.
  • Audit: Lead the team in managing and coordinating response to credit information requests from internal and external auditors and regulators to ensure accurate delivery of required information
  • Stakeholder and Engagement: work closely and maintain positive relationships with Corporate Banking (CB), Corporate Client Group (CCG), Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance. Act as the team’s primary point of contact and will conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure a high level of service is provided to other groups within the bank
  • Coaching & Team Management: Manage, develop and coach a group of Analyst/officers to ensure excellence in the fulfilment of mandates and responsibilities and to drive optimal results. Provide regular feedback and coaching on employee performance and progress against goals, career progression and continual training. Staying up to date on bank policy, credit trends, and industry research to develop a high performing team in which team members produce insightful, high-quality work in a timely manner
  • Global Collaboration: work collaboratively with colleagues across time zones to drive seamless communication and timely task execution on a global scale
  • Other responsibilities: Other ad-hoc responsibilities may include presenting to key stakeholders, reporting and periodic reviews to promote a culture of continuous process improvement
