AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for an Associate Director, Electrical- EHV Cables to join our team in Damansara City.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful energy projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high‑performing team.

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for the team.

  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high‑quality cost‑effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
  • Master or degree in Engineering (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization.
  • Overall 10+ years of work experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams working for Grid Utilities for underground HV cables design is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred.
  • Previous design experience working with CYMCAP or other similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC cable ampacity calculations, EMTP calculations and modelling expertise is highly desirable.
  • Very good communication skills (oral and written) in English language is mandatory.
