A government-linked property development company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Vendor Management expert. The role involves optimizing vendor performance through KPIs and SLAs, leading a team, and implementing best practices. Identify and implement best practices in Vendor Management to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for vendor performance evaluations.
Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy, policies and procedures aligned with organization goals and risk tolerance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define vendor requirements and selection criteria.
Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against established contractual agreements.
Manage vendor selection, due diligence and risk assessments, including financial, operational, security and reputational risks.
Ensure vendors comply with all relevant legal, regulatory and company policies including data privacy and security standards.
Develop and implement contingency plans for critical vendor services.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors.
Work with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Risk, IT, Ops, BUs) and advise stakeholders on vendor management best practices.
Lead, mentor and develop the vendor management team, including setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Finance or other related fields.
Minimum 6 – 8 years of experience in property development industry or a similar role or industry.
Demonstrates strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
