Assistant Vice President, Vendor and Contract Management
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operations of the Bank’s vendor relationships, including creating and implementing policies and procedures and maintaining records.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance to ensure goods and services are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
  • Review outsourcing checklists, liaise with Group Risk Management and Group Compliance on the materiality of proposed outsourcing arrangements.
  • Annually review and update the outsourcing register and perform gap analysis when necessary.
  • Develop and sustain long‑standing relationships with company‑approved vendors.
  • Meet with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service‑related concerns.
  • Research available vendors to determine the best pricing and product quality.
  • Monitor overall cost‑saving initiatives and ensure vendor selection aligns with the Bank’s policy.
  • Interview new vendors and inform approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Establish standards to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Evaluate the current vendor management program and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage outsourcing arrangement gap analysis and ensure compliance with Kenanga Investment Bank and BNM guidelines.
  • Review and update service agreements for all outsourcing arrangements.
  • Liaise with Group Risk Management and Group Compliance regarding outsourcing arrangements.
  • Perform annual review and gap analysis of all existing outsourcing arrangements.
  • Update the outsourcing plan and register in accordance with BNM policy and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Degree holder (or Diploma with minimum 5 years’ experience).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of vendor management and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi‑task in a fast‑paced team environment.
