Job description

Represent the company in overseeing procurement activities, ensuring full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Act as the Risk Coordinator, ensuring effective coordination of risk-related activities and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

Review and evaluate repair, upgrade and maintenance works carried out by contractors or in-house technicians, ensuring compliance with JKR/MS/BS or equivalent industry standards.

Establish and maintain a comprehensive list of qualified vendors and suppliers, including conducting site visits to assess capabilities when required.

Oversee the supplier registration process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and meets internal governance standards.

Inspect building and structural conditions to identify and categorize types of defects.

Recommend practical and cost-effective solutions for civil and structural repairs.

Prepare initial cost estimates and develop project budgets to support procurement decisions.

Review technical specifications and ensure that all repair and maintenance work complies with applicable standards and regulations.

Identify potential risks related to procurement and propose effective mitigation strategies.

The Incumbent:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management).

Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience, particularly in procurement and pre/post-contract administration.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
