A construction firm in Bayan Lepas is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the development and implementation of the Quality Management System. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, preferably with high-rise projects, and is proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. This role requires effective communication and the ability to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with CIDB, ISO, QLASSIC, and internal standards.
Ensure all project teams comply with approved construction quality plans, method statements, and work procedures.
Support the QA/QC Manager in reviewing and updating quality manuals, checklists, SOPs, and quality guidelines.
Manage and supervise main contractor in the implementation of the project quality system and test required by the contract.
Checking the unit as per quality standard prior CCC before handover to the owner.
Follow up with contractor on the defects rectification status prior handover.
Review and check construction documents being used at site such as: Project Quality Plan, Work Procedure and method of statement and inspection & test procedure of the latest revision status to ensure the project personnel and contractors comply with the quality requirements.
Review, check and verify that works are carried out according to the required quality standard and specifications as required by the contract.
Analyze problems on test projects and recommend actions to ensure product quality.
Coordinate various QA/QC issues with the Main Contractor and Nominated other Sub-contractor and other sub-contractor and if required with the Consultant.
Development and maintenance of QA QC best practices (through process and procedures) with other project members.
Monitor the implementation of the Project Quality Plan through document reconciliation and discussion with the project team.
Issue Non-Conformance Report for non-compliance work and materials.
Prepare and submit relevant report such as but not limited to weekly or monthly and other report.
Accurate recording and tracking of defects using inspection checklist.
Report to Manager pertaining to all relevant site QA/QC activities.
Carry out any other job tasks/ assignments as and when requested by Senior Management, Department Head or direct superior.
