MSR Green Energy Sdn Bhd – Bachok, Kelantan

MSR Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. (“MSR-GE”) is a leading renewable energy (“RE”) developer specialising in the delivery of utility‑scale solar projects across Malaysia. We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager for a 2.5‑year contract position to support the execution of our LSS projects from development through to commissioning. This role is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of experience in project execution within the RE or infrastructure sectors. Your main tasks will be to work closely with the Senior Project Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will initially be based at the company’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, before being deployed to site at Bachok, Kelantan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of LSS project activities across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Support the preparation and tracking of project timelines, budgets, and progress reports
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to monitor deliverables and resolve day‑to‑day project issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective communication between engineering, procurement, and site personnel
  • Monitor on‑site activities and report any deviations or risks to the Senior Project Manager
  • Support documentation, including permits, correspondence with authorities (e.g. TNB, ST, SEDA), and contract management
  • Assist in organising project meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and following up on outstanding items
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and assist in quality assurance and control initiatives
  • Contribute to the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation and handover processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the development of project execution best practices
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or utilities projects
  • Exposure to utility‑scale solar PV projects or other RE infrastructure
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and basic understanding of project finance and contracts
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across levels
  • Self‑driven, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of grid interconnection procedures, EPCC workflows, and LSS regulatory frameworks is a plus
