ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER / PRODUCTION MANAGER (FOOD TECH)

Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.

Ensure timely completion of production orders with minimal downtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of production orders with minimal downtime.
  • People Management: Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, line leaders, and production operators. Drive team performance through effective delegation, coaching, and motivation.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet the required quality and safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, etc.). Work closely with QA/QC to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency (e.g., lean manufacturing, OEE). Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition and preventive maintenance is carried out.
  • Inventory & Material Management: Monitor raw material usage and work with supply chain/warehouse to ensure adequate stock levels for production needs.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management. Analyze production data to drive operational decisions.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in food manufacturing, with at least 6 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, production systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple production lines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and production-related software (e.g., ERP/ Autocount systems).
