ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER / PRODUCTION MANAGER (FOOD TECH)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders with minimal downtime.
- People Management: Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, line leaders, and production operators. Drive team performance through effective delegation, coaching, and motivation.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet the required quality and safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, etc.). Work closely with QA/QC to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency (e.g., lean manufacturing, OEE). Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition and preventive maintenance is carried out.
- Inventory & Material Management: Monitor raw material usage and work with supply chain/warehouse to ensure adequate stock levels for production needs.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management. Analyze production data to drive operational decisions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in food manufacturing, with at least 6 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, production systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple production lines.
- Proficient in MS Office and production-related software (e.g., ERP/ Autocount systems).
