Assistant Procurement and Planning Manager

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Procurement and Planning Manager to join our team at Angenet Sdn Bhd (Spritzer Berhad Yong Peng Branch) in Yong Peng, Johor. This full-time role is integral to the smooth operations and strategic initiatives of our manufacturing and logistics business.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Analyze and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.

Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.

Planning and Inventory Management:

Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales order requirements, material availability, and production capacity.

Coordinate with other departments to address production timelines, schedule conflicts, and delays.

Track inventory levels of materials and ensure accuracy in delivery schedules and purchases.

Implement plans for packaging and raw material procurement according to the master production plan.

Monitor production plans and performance, as well as inventory levels.

Operational Excellence:

Identify and implement relevant projects to increase efficiency and continuous improvement of the supply chain function.

Develop and maintain best practice systems and procedures for material management and procurement.

Work closely with quality operations, manufacturing, technical services, and engineering departments to ensure high levels of customer service.

Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of FSSC and HACCP standards and requirements.
