Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Communication Management: Supports the Head of Department and Head of Unit in developing and executing the annual Strategic Communications and Media Engagement Plan. The plan should align with corporate priorities, business strategies, and stakeholder objectives, translating them into purposeful campaigns and media initiatives that strengthen brand credibility, enhance share of voice, and drive measurable impact. Success will be assessed based on message quality, media relevance, stakeholder resonance, and alignment with business outcomes.
  • Manages the end-to-end development and dissemination of media and external communications materials, including press releases, branded content, media statements, and thought leadership pieces. Responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment in all content, working closely with internal departments to verify facts, refine messaging, and uphold the company's corporate voice. Also prepares supporting materials such as FAQs, talking points, and response frameworks for stakeholder engagements, media queries, and critical management communications.
  • Crisis Response & Issues Management (+ Business Continuity Management): Plays a key coordinating role in managing corporate crises and sensitive issues, ensuring timely, strategic, and transparent communication across internal and external stakeholders. Supports the development and execution of crisis response plans, media holding statements, and post-crisis reviews to safeguard the company's reputation and business continuity.
  • Daily Media Monitoring & PR Value Tracking: Oversees the company's daily media monitoring operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and comprehensive coverage reports across print, broadcast, and digital platforms. Analyses key trends, sentiment, and emerging issues to provide actionable insights to management. Coordinates directly with media monitoring agencies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and relevance, while maintaining proper archiving and reporting systems for reference and accountability.
  • Corporate Media Relations Management: Supports HOU to manage and enhance relationships with the media through impactful activities such as media engagements and briefing sessions, exclusive interviews, appreciation events, festive engagements, and the like to strategically maintain and enhance media relations. Involved in providing advisory and support to internal stakeholders and project teams on media related matters. Supports HOU to manage relationships with all agencies appointed to support unit's function, overseeing deliverables and ensure service agreements and objectives of agency appointment are achieved. Education/Professional Qualification & Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Specialisation: Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Affairs, Mass Communication
  • Total Work Experience: Min 5 years, preferably in a large and listed multinational corporation (>1,000 employees) or reputable media organisation / agency
  • Total Relevant Experience: Min 2 years in Corporate Communications / Corporate Affairs / Public Relations / Journalism / Media (Corporate, Broadcast, Publishing)
