About the role

As the Assistant Manager - Security at IOI City Mall, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our bustling retail destination. This full-time position is based in Putrajaya and will see you work closely with the Security Manager to oversee all aspects of security operations.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Security Manager in planning, implementing and monitoring security strategies and procedures
• Supervise and coordinate the security team to ensure efficient and effective security coverage across the mall
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to address any security concerns
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats
• Provide training and development opportunities for the security team to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Maintain detailed records and documentation related to security operations
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, providing a calm and professional presence

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a security management role, preferably within the retail or commercial property sector
• Excellent knowledge of security procedures, risk management, and emergency response protocols
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Familiarity with relevant security regulations and compliance requirements
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and verbal
