ASSISTANT MANAGER RENOVATION (SAFETY & HEALTH COORDINATOR)
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and overseeing the master project schedule for renovation projects.
- Track projects and provide regular reports on project progression to superiors and internal teams.
- Collaborate with interior designers to develop the concept within the allocated budget and produce necessary drawings for mall submission.
- Assist in planning and executing the implementation of health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) policies, procedures and systems to ensure safe operations in accordance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
- Assist and plan execution of independent in-house safety audits and inspections on the company’s premises including headquarters, warehouses and stores.
- Conduct site inspections to check machinery, equipment and processes to identify risks and ensure proper implementation of procedures and policies.
- Assist in managing AFM’s safety & security checklist, checking the safety checklist during stocktake exercises twice a year.
- Coordinate and resolve all renovation and fit‑out issues with malls to ensure smooth handover to internal stakeholders for store setup as per project timeline.
- Investigate accidents, perilous incidents and workplace‑related diseases.
- Ensure renovation projects comply with health and safety regulations.
- Lead major incident investigations, including injuries, fires and explosions, and recommend appropriate preventive actions.
- Conduct seminars and implement programs that promote health and safety in the organization.
- Communicate and share lessons from HSE incidents that impact company operations in a timely, thorough, and effective manner.
- Plan, assign and supervise safety matters and requirements at all company premises.
- Assist in developing and implementing HSSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Conduct ad‑hoc safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the validity of health and safety equipment and maintenance matters.
- Prepare for any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Business Development & Renovation Department, management or the holding company in Japan.
Certified Safety & Health Officer (Green Book)/CIDB registered/Green Card highly recommended
