Job summary

GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. is seeking a senior finance professional to lead regional controllership and IFRS accounting for its Mobility segment in Southeast Asia. You will partner with product, operations and commercial teams and serve as the regional point of contact for audits and SOX controls.

You will report to the Regional Business Finance Manager and help scale the Mobility business with strong technical accounting rigor and business partnership across SEA markets.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in controllership, technical accounting, or audit with IFRS expertise.
• Experience supporting multi-country operations and digital platform business.
• Strong stakeholder management; ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Commercial judgment to balance accounting rigor with business pragmatism.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, ops, and commercial teams on upcoming projects and advise on processes.
• Lead accounting treatment for new Mobility offerings under IFRS.
• Oversee regional Mobility accounting framework across SEA and ensure consistency.
• Identify and fix past revenue/cost misalignments in a controlled way.
• Oversee end-to-end finance reporting for Mobility, coordinating with country finance/SSC.
• Serve as regional contact for group-level audit and SOX for Mobility portfolio.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Regional Business Finance Manager for Grab's Mobility business segment, you will combine technical accounting expertise with solid business partnering to keep our fast-growing segment audit-ready as it scales. You will operate independently, helping build the scalable regional frameworks the Mobility business runs on — equally at ease debating IFRS positions with auditors and translating them into plain-language guidance for product and commercial teams.

You will be base at our Malaysia office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Partner early with product, operations, and commercial teams on upcoming projects — surfacing accounting implications before launch and advising on operational processes so downstream reporting stays clean and auditable.
• Determine and lead the accounting treatment for new Mobility product offerings and business plans in accordance with IFRS, resolving ambiguous positions together with technical accounting teams.
• Oversee the regional accounting framework for Mobility products across SEA — driving application consistency across business departments and countries, and correcting deviations in partnership with local controllers and FP&A.
• Identify and fix historical misalignments in revenue or cost accounting in a controlled, auditable manner, and maintain written accounting positions to support audit readiness.
• Oversee the finance reporting process for the Mobility business end-to-end, aligning with process, data, and systems owners on design and governance while execution is delegated to country finance or SSC teams.
• Act as the regional point of contact for group-level financial audit and SOX for the Mobility portfolio — fielding auditor queries, guiding country teams through local audits, and flagging control risks from business changes ahead of audit scoping.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Technical Accounting and Controls – 4-6 years of experience in controllership, technical accounting, or audit, with solid expertise in IFRS and internal controls.
• Regional and Industry Expertise – Experience supporting multi-country operations and diverse business models, with exposure to digital platform and marketplace being advantageous.
• Stakeholder Management and Influence – A good collaborator who can simplify complex accounting matters, influence cross-functional team partners, and lead alignment without direct authority.
• Commercial Judgment and Execution – Able to solve work issues with structure, who balances accounting stringency with business practicality, exercises proper judgment in uncertain situations, and independently manages different priorities and workstreams.
