Job summary

A leading logistics company in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, QSHE. In this role, you will drive compliance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS). You will ensure adherence to local and international standards within our regulated facility. Candidates should have a relevant Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience managing quality and safety systems, along with strong knowledge of ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing Quality and/or Safety systems.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and local DOSH regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018 and bonded facility compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System based on ISO 45001:2018 principles.

ASSISTANT MANAGER QUALITY, SAFETY HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT (QSHE)

Priority Bonded Warehouse – Bayan Lepas, Penang

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager, QSHE to drive compliance and management system effectiveness across our operations. This role is crucial for maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and leading the establishment of a robust Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring adherence to strict local and international standards within our regulated Warehouse / bonded facility.

Key Responsibilities

Safety System Focus: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS), based on ISO 45001:2018 principles.

DOSH Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) standards, acts, and statutory requirements; assist as a key contact for safety matters.

Risk Management: Support and facilitate Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) processes across all operational areas.

QMS & GDPMD: Help manage, audit, and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 QMS. Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD) for proper handling and storage.

Facility Compliance: Maintain mandatory oversight of all safety, security, and quality protocols specific to operating our bonded facility.

Integration: Support the effective integration of the QMS and SMS into a unified management system.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OSH, or a related field.

Minimum 3+ years experience managing Quality and/or Safety systems.

Mandatory: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and local DOSH regulations.

Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018 and experience with bonded facility compliance.

Advantageous: Knowledge of GDPMD, or relevant safety certification (e.g., Safety Coordinator, Green Card).
