Media & Stakeholder Relations
- Build and foster relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and relevant government or community stakeholders. Secure positive media coverage and ensure accurate portrayal of our brand values and initiatives.
PR Strategy & Messaging
- Collaborate with the PR agency and consultant to develop tailored communication strategies aligned with brand goals. Create compelling content for press releases, advertorials, pitches and etc. that resonates with our audience.
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Write, edit, and proofread internal and external communications such as press releases, speeches, newsletters, award submissions & etc.
Event Coordination & Activations
- Plan and support PR-driven events such as media launches, press conferences and media engagement.
Crisis Management
- Assist in crafting and executing crisis communications and managing issues that may impact public perception.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track PR campaign performance using metrics like PR values, media coverages and prepare reports to assess campaign impact and make data-driven recommendations
Budget Support & Agency Collaboration
- Work alongside the PR Manager to administer budgets for PR activities and liaise with agencies or consultants to deliver communications efforts efficiently.
CSR & Community Initiatives
- Support CSR-related communications to reflect Yayasan MR.DIY community engagement and social value initiatives, enhancing brand goodwill and corporate responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Media Relations, preferably within retail, FMCG, or agency environments.
- Proven track record in managing media relations, press releases, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and content creation skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives across multiple channels.
- Hands-on experience in coordinating media events, press conferences, and PR activations.
- Familiar with crisis communication strategies and ability to respond quickly under pressure.
- Solid understanding of PR performance metrics (PR values, media coverage, sentiment analysis) with experience in reporting and insights.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders including journalists, agencies, and community representatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with digital/PR monitoring tools.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is an added advantage.
- A team player with high initiative, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
