A strategic investment firm in Ipoh seeks an Assistant Manager/Manager to lead new business development and strategic investment initiatives. The candidate will provide advisory support to the CEO, identify new ventures, and ensure successful project execution. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience are essential. Drive the overall direction and execution of PSB’s new business development, strategic investment, and program delivery functions.
Provide direct advisory and decision-support to the CEO on strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
Identify, assess, and initiate new business ventures aligned with PSB’s long‑term objectives and market positioning.
Lead feasibility studies, concept development, and early‑stage structuring of new projects and partnerships.
Formulate investment strategies, evaluate potential investments or divestments, and lead negotiation of strategic collaborations and joint ventures.
Oversee due diligence, valuation, risk analysis, and board‑level submissions for all investment‑related initiatives.
Establish and oversee program governance, monitoring mechanisms, and execution frameworks for PSB’s key strategic initiatives.
Ensure interdepartmental alignment and progress tracking for strategic programs under CEO directive.
Represent PSB in external engagements with partners, agencies, and investors on strategic matters.
Collaborate with internal business units, board‑level committees, and cross‑functional teams to drive initiative delivery.
Develop and maintain high‑level dashboards, KPIs, and reporting structures for business development, investment, and PMO functions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements on all executed strategies.
Lead and execute high‑priority, high‑sensitivity projects assigned directly by the CEO, Board of Directors, or Group Managing Committee.
Provide rapid‑response strategy development, cross‑sector coordination, and hands‑on delivery for initiatives that are mission‑critical, exploratory, or require discreet execution.
Act as the internal task force leader for new mandates, turnaround strategies, or urgent corporate actions requiring executive‑level focus and confidentiality.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
Master’s Degree / MBA / professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic investment, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, or business development.
Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives, evaluating investments, and delivering cross‑functional programs.
Experience in corporate advisory, business turnaround, or new venture creation is highly desirable.
