Job description

The Assistant Manager in the Finance Department will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, reporting performance, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

  • Assist Superior and Management to ensure Group Finance operations and functions run effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare full set of accounts, including managing Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and accounts related reconciliations as well as handling taxation matters.
  • Involve in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Collate information and conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Work closely with external auditors, Company Secretary and others to ensure regulatory filing and compliance matters are adhered to.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Assist with finance process improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Assist in any other ad-hoc projects or assignments as required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with previous experience in a professional services firm being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, and well-versed with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to multi-task, with good time management skills, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
