Assistant Manager / Manager Finance (Financial Planning and Analysis)

The Finance Manager at BFood is a pivotal and strategic role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring robust accounting practices, providing critical financial control, and delivering insightful analysis to drive strategic decision‑making and sustainable growth within the dynamic food industry. This role requires a strong blend of hands‑on accounting expertise, a meticulous approach to financial control, advanced analytical capabilities, exceptional data presentation skills, and the ability to effectively manage investor relations to optimize financial performance and communicate the company's financial story. The Finance Manager will also play a key role in supporting the CFO on strategic initiatives, including market expansion and M&A activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Analysis – Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial analyses, encompassing profitability analysis, financial forecasting, budget preparation, and detailed variance analysis. Assess the financial viability and ROI of new business ventures, capital investments, and other strategic projects.
  • Executive Reporting & Communication – Prepare, analyze, and present insightful financial reports and presentations to senior leadership, clearly articulating the financial performance and strategic impact of business initiatives.
  • Investment & Financing Support – Create detailed financial models, reports, and supporting documentation for investment proposals, financing activities, and critical operational strategies.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration & Governance – Coordinate and participate in compliance meetings, working committees, and cross‑functional engagements to ensure seamless execution of strategic goals and adherence to all regulatory standards.
  • External & Internal Relations – Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key internal project stakeholders, investors, auditors, legal counsel, and other external partners, supporting corporate strategies and upholding the company's credibility.
  • Corporate Disclosure & Investor Relations – Contribute to the preparation of essential corporate communications, including board papers, investor decks, compliance filings, and materials for analyst and investor briefings.
  • Financial Governance & Controls – Uphold stringent compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks. Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and provide robust support for audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant exposure to managing full sets of accounts, financial controlling, and advanced financial analysis, preferably within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or retail food industry.
  • Proven track record in developing complex financial models, conducting deep‑dive analysis, and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience in investor relations or a similar stakeholder communication role, including preparing investor materials and engaging with external parties.
  • Expert‑level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Deep knowledge of local market conditions and regulatory requirements in the food industry is a significant advantage.
